Many people believe that small excavators are used for digging soil, loading cars, digging ditches, or leveling the ground. In fact, excavators can also be used to repair roads, but this is a technical task. If you are repairing roads with slopes, if the slope is too large, the car cannot get on. If the slope is too small, the slope will be too long. How can we build a road with a slope that is neither too steep nor too long? Today I will share:

1, Determine the distance between the top and bottom of the slope
Before starting slope repair, first observe the span and distance of the upper and lower ends of the slope to be repaired, in order to determine the size of the slope to be repaired. If a road is opened up or down a slope directly from a step, the length and size of the slope depend on the height of the step. The higher the step height, the longer the slope will be built (of course, the length of the slope will also be determined based on the actual environment on site).
2, The embryonic form of using excavators to repair roads
After determining the slope of the road to be built, start digging with an excavator. Start by layering and collapsing from the upper end of the slope, so that the soil at the upper end of the slope can be collapsed to the bottom to raise the road surface below and reduce the overall slope of the road. When the soil is collected from the top to about half the slope, use a digging bucket to flatten the soil collected to the bottom, and the overall outline of the entire road surface is formed.
3, Leveling of ramps
After the slope is roughly formed, we need to level the road surface of the ramp. Similarly, from the upper end of the slope, use a shovel to pat down the protruding part and flatten the concave part (of course, experienced mechanics can usually form it in one go). If there is only a small amount of loose soil on the ground that needs to be leveled, we can use an excavator to rotate it to "sweep" the soil. It should be noted that the rotational force is relatively small, and when encountering hard soil or a lot of soil, it is "swept" not moving, At this point, a combination of multiple composite actions is needed to sweep away the soil layer.
